SPOT LUMINAIRE FIELD SERVICE MANUAL

Replacing AR Glass

Parts:

41.9816.0606 / 2.37493-R15 1 EA LENS, COVER, AFT BULKHEAD (AR GLASS)

Tools & Supplies:

#2 Phillips screwdriver

Cotton gloves or finger cots

Dow Corning #3145 RTV Adhesive (06.6003.0001.0)

Loctite #246 (06.6019.0001.01)

WARNING: Remove power from luminaire before performing any maintenance procedures.

To replace the AR glass:

Step 1. Remove power from lamp and allow lamp to cool for at least 5 minutes.

Step 2. Remove Head Covers. (Refer to "Removing Head Covers" on page 24.)

Step 3. Remove Wheel Stack. (Refer to "Replacing Wheel Stack" on page 53.)

Step 4. Remove Aft Bulkhead Cover by removing fourteen 6-32 x 5/16" PFB screws (Figure 3-41).

Step 5. Remove AR Glass.

Step 6. Clean away old adhesive.

Step 7. Apply #3145 RTV adhesive around hole as shown in Figure 3-41.

CAUTION: Wear cotton gloves or finger cots while handling glass filters.

Step 8. Install new AR Glass. Allow adhesive to dry.

Step 9. Re-install Aft Bulkhead Cover. Apply Loctite 246 to threads of all screws.

Hand tighten all screws before

torquing!

Step 10. Re-install Wheel Stack into Head Assembly.

Step 11. Re-install Head Covers.
